Trip to the Zoo

I was so excited about taking Sarai to the zoo for the first time. The drive was a little under an hr and an half away. She suprised me by walking the entire zoo all by herself. We decided to leave the stroller behind to see if she could be a big girl and it worked. She had NO fear when it came to any of the animals. Which is a good and bad thing, i love that she was open and not afraid but at the same time she could see a stray dog and run right up to it because she thinks all animals are friendly. It turned out to be a beautiful day, the weather was perfect sarai was in a good mood and we had a great time doing something together as a family. The older sarai gets the more adventures we will be able to have.

Trip to the zoo 2..

I absolutely loved this mural. As soon as i saw it i had keith and sarai run over so that i could take a photo of them with the bears.

If you look in the corner you can see the back of the tiger. It was huge! I was terrified having keith and sarai stand that close.

Cooling off with the barrels.

One of the first things we saw were these HUGE turtles. I have a photo of her reaching in and touching the shell. But it cut off how big the turtles are so i chose this photo instead.

Trip to the zoo 3

I could not believe how close we got to the female lions. This one seemed to be on the prowl. She kept growling low and making really weird sounds, and pacing back and forth. Sarai didnt't seemed scared at all, just intrigued.

Panther.

I was holding my breathe each time sarai got close to the animals. I was so afraid they would jump over or bite her face, or her little fingers. She wasn't afraid at all. I was so impressed at how close she got to the goat.

Sarai loved getting up and close and personal with the animals. She wanted to climb up on every fence she saw. Here she is with the pigs. Surprisingly the pig pen didnt have an awful smell.

Yes Yes i KNOW once again i filmed it the wrong way. I drive Keith crazy when i do this. I was so nervous and excited about what was happening that i did it the wrong way. HOWEVER, it was such a great video that i posted it anyway. LOL

Trip to the Zoo 4

I was soooooooooo surprised at how brave sarai was at the zoo. She wasnt afraid to feed any of the animals.

I loved seeing this peacock with her little babies. She walked all around the zoo and they followed her every step and hop. They were so tiny and cute!

Sarai feeding the deer.

Random Pics of Sarai...

Sarai's hair seems to have developed a mind of its own. I haven't quit figured out the right combo of products to tame it yet but we are still trying and experimenting. It has gotten alot longer, way down her back but it is hard to tell because its so curly. Usually her hair looks similar to this by the end of the day. In this particular photo it had a little help from daddy!

I snuck into her room and got this phto before i woke her up from her nap. She looks so angelic and beautiful.

Snuggling with daddy on the couch is still a favorite past time.

Random Pics of sarai 2

I just love this pic of her, she looks like she is in a little ballerina pose.

Gotta love this little grin.
