Sarai's first kiss

We had our friends Sam and Ashley come over for dinner tonight with their 4 1/2 month old son Charlie. From day one since it seems like we are on the same schedule we have said that our babies would be friends, but it seems they are going to the gf/bf stage already. They were completely fasicnated by each other, so we decided to catch it on film. When we set them next to each other on the couch Charlie went in for a kiss and Sarai didnt cry! It was so amazing she was completely content laying on his shoulder. It was amazing that we were able to catch it all on film. We were pretty happy to catch it but of course keith the father said we were going to have to keep and eye for Charlie who was putting the "move" on Sarai. It was really fun seeing them together and we look forward to all the little antics they will pull in the next few months.

P.S. Sorry Padrino i know you said no boys until she's 30! I will tell Charlie that he better watch it or he will have you to answer to.

Update on Sarai...

Sarai had her two month check up on monday and it was quite painful. She recieved three shots and it was the most horrible thing to watch. When she was in the hospital in CA keith saw all of the blood being taken, the spinal taps, and the constant iv's. I saw some of it but it was just harder this time. In the hospital she did not cry as much because to her it was a part of life. When they stuck the first needle in for the shot she did not cry immediately, she had more of a delayed reaction. I was kneeling right beside her rubbing her head and she looked past me at keith. She stared at him the whole time with the alligator tears and the boo boo with a look that said "why are u letting them do this to me? why wont you help?" it was the saddest thing i had ever seen. I thought that nite and the next morning would be horrible but thankfully it was not that bad with the help of baby tylenol. They took her measurements and she gained almost 3 pounds in 2 weeks! that was unbelievable now she is a whopping 10 lbs 11 ounces and 22 and a half inches long. She has definitely hit a growth spurt and her demand for food has increased so i have started supplementing two of her feedings with formula (she eats about 9 times a day). As far as physical appearances she is not looking so strawny anymore her tummy has filled out and she has those cute little fat rolls on her legs. She has started to follow us around the room with her eyes and smile in response to seeing us. Most of all she has started cooing up a storm. I am completely fascinated by everything she does, she is just so amazing. Anyway we will keep everyone udpated with her new developments and pics!

Road trip to Texas...

Last friday we made a trip over to dallas to pick up the geo. In addition to picking up the geo Sarai got to meet her padrino (godfather) and madrina (godmother) for the first time. She absolutely loved them. Especially her padrino he held many conversations with her and kept her warm and close the whole time. The only time she really got to spend with me was to feed her and take the night shift which was fine by me, it was nice getting a little break. We were amazed at how well she cooperated, she slept about five hours a night and she did not fuss as she usually does. It must have been something in the air, or just spending time with her godparents. It was great spending time with family and introducing Sarai to them. I must admit it was also great having two more sets of hands. Sarai is very demanding of our time as expected, so it was nice to be able to take a nap and go out for dinner. It was to come back to OK for us and for Jim and Julie. But we will get to see them in a few weeks for Sarai's baptism.

Random pics of Sarai

I captured a few pics of Sarai throughout the day. THe first pic is Sarai's expression after she finishes eating, keith says i must put something in the breastmilk. Immediately after eating her eyes roll into the back of her head and she falls out. Another pic is one of her where i FINALLY caught a smile. Usually i am too late or she becomes fascinated by the camera and stops smiling. ANd the last photos are of her in the warm weather gear her godparents bought her on our trip to texas. She absolutely hates wearing hats and gloves but she looks so cute in them. PLus its a necessity when the temperature is 16 degrees.

Video of Sarai's hairline...or lack thereof

Video of new developments with sarai

Sarai has starting reaching for things lately, and i finally got some video of her playing in her bouncer seat. Its amazing how everything she does is like a little miracle to us. Its like she is the first baby ever to do anything!
